Richardson got the Telecom Corridor name along US-75, where radio, semiconductor, and telecom companies built engineering and manufacturing operations for decades. On the east side of the freeway, Richardson rebranded 1,200 acres, from Campbell Road south past Arapaho Road and east to Plano Road, as the Richardson Innovation Quarter, with Glenville Drive as its backbone and the DART Red and Orange lines running through it.
